Sumy Frunze Machine-Building Science and Production Association joint stock company (Ukraine) has signed a contract for the supply of equipment with Petro Gas LLP (Great Britain). It has been operating in Bagtyyarlyk gas field in Turkmenistan since 2013, the Ukrainian company said on March 18.

This is the third joint project as part of Bagtyyarlyk field development field which is a raw material source for supplying Turkmen gas to China.

Ukrainian experts will produce a batch of separation and storage equipment upon the contract terms, according to the statement.

Several types of goods are planned to be supplied, leading manager of the company's foreign economic activity Andrey Melnik said.

"In particular, it is necessary to produce two gauze separators, gas filters, three-phased separators, as well as a flare gas separator.

These goods are intended for a gas dehydration unit.

Shipment is scheduled for summer 2014.

Plans are to send 12 adsorbers and two technological natural gas heaters, envisaged by the previous contracts with Petro Gas LLP, to the facility in the third quarter of 2014, according to the report.

Turkmenistan plays a key role in the Caspian region's energy market and the country's hydrocarbons have been exported to Russia and Iran for a long time.

A route was opened to China in 2009. Today China is the largest buyer of gas and expects to increase its annual purchases to 65 billion cubic meters.
